Do you love me? est une magnifique chanson d’amour libanaise du groupe Bandaly Family. À l’origine une chanson surf rock, l’influence des Beach Boys est palpable, elle est ici réarrangée par le duo français Madeleine & Salomon en balade crépusculaire méditative. Un voyage immobile et planant, une voix posée sur un piano lent, quelques accords qui tournent en boucle et des accents venus d’Orient. Madeleine & Salomon, alias Alexandre Saada et Clotilde, rendent hommage à la pop méditerranéenne militante des années 1960-1970 en la rajeunissant par le prisme délicat et minimaliste de leur musique inventive et contemporaine.

Do you love me? is a beautiful Lebanese love song by the Bandaly Family band. Originally a ‘surf rock’ song - the Beach Boys’ influence is palpable - Madeleine & Salomon - aka Alexandre Saada and Clotilde - turned it into a twilight meditative ballad. A floating journey: a sleek voice and a lingering piano, a few looping chords with an Eastern taste. The French duo rejuvenates the Mediterranean revolutionary pop music of the 60’s and 70’s with the delicate and minimalist touch of their inventive and modern music.
